New polling released by CNN and conducted by SSRS today shows fifth-generation Mainer and logger and former Maine Senate President Troy Jackson maintaining his lead against Susan Collins in the race for U.S. Senate.

Troy Jackson spent Labor Day weekend crisscrossing Maine, driving more than 850 miles to attend 13 campaign and community events and meet with workers, union members, and voters across the state.

Troy Jackson has shored up support from key unions across Maine and the country. The unions represent hundreds of workers across Maine who have seen Jackson’s commitment to workers’ rights firsthand during his time as Senate President.

Troy Jackson hosted his second town hall in Gorham, Maine. With nearly 400 Mainers in attendance, Jackson engaged with voters, took questions, and called out Susan Collins for selling Maine out.

Jackson accepts four televised debates — including one before a live audience — while Collins continues refusing opportunities to take questions directly from Mainers.

Today, Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed Troy Jackson for U.S. Senate, citing his decade long record of protecting and expanding abortion rights in Maine.

UNITE HERE pointed to Jackson’s decades-long record of standing with working people — from organizing fellow loggers in northern Maine to taking on corporations and powerful special interests as Maine Senate President.

Reproductive Freedom for All announced their endorsement of Troy Jackson at the launch of the Women for Troy Coalition. Women for Troy is aimed at uplifting and uniting the voices of Maine women. 

In the ad, “80 Hours,” Jackson, reflects on raising a family while working 80-hour weeks to try and make ends meet, and how those experiences drove him to fight for working people, protect Medicare and Social Security, and cut taxes for working families. 

Troy Jackson has met with thousands of voters across Maine and has taken the lead in polling, with the majority of Mainers reporting concerns with how often Susan Collins votes with Donald Trump. 

The endorsement comes as Troy campaigns for Senate with a strong focus on his honest roots as a union member and working-class Mainer who got his political start organizing for loggers in The County. 

Troy Jackson met with supporters at stops across Maine, including community events in Lisbon Falls, Portland, Winslow and Belfast, and a canvass launch for the Maine Democratic party in Augusta.
