Pres. Jackson attends ribbon-cutting in Caribou

In Aroostook County, small business owners are more than just a part of our economy, they are active and integral members of our community. Donna Murchison is a perfect example of that. As the owner of Russell’s Motel she built a successful business promoting County hospitality while volunteering in the community and encouraging others to get involved.

Pres. Jackson lauds investment in County Pre-K programs

In Aroostook County, we understand the value of preschool. It ensures that parents have a place to drop off their 4-year-olds while they go to work and it ensures that our young kids show up to kindergarten ready to learn. I’m thrilled that both Caribou and Limestone schools will receive critical funds to expand their already successful programs thanks to our work in the Maine Legislature. However, I hope it’s just the beginning. All County preschool programs deserve additional support.

Pres. Jackson congratulates Luchini on new role; Luchini resigns from Senate

Throughout his time in the Senate, Louie has fought to protect our proud tradition of free and fair elections, led the way on regulatory reform and advocated for greater investment in our small businesses and local economies. It’s truly been an honor to serve alongside him; it is an even greater honor to call him a friend. I wish him best of luck in his new role and have no dbout he’ll be a tremendous asset to the state in the Office of Advocacy.

But make no mistake, our work is not done.

Jackson, legislative leaders raise alarm over uptick in hate crimes

If this isn’t who we are as Mainers, then we must prove it by coming together and putting an end to this violence driven by racism, homophobia and antisemitism. If we believe that all Mainers deserve to feel safe and respected in their homes, in their workplaces and in their communities, then we must make that a reality. As legislative leaders, we believe in the kindness and strength of Maine people to step up and make that happen.
