“Mr. Adams has a career’s worth of experience in commercial application and in dealing with the Board of Pesticides Control itself,” said President Jackson. “His knowledge as a business owner in Northern Maine and on-the-ground experience with the ways in which pesticide control impacts the agricultural community have served the Board well. Senate unanimously approves nominee to lead Maine’s Office of Affordable Health Care

The Office of Affordable Health Care reflects the need for a nonpartisan, independent state agency that is dedicated to identifying meaningful, evidence-based steps the Legislature can take to make health care more affordable and accessible for the people we represent. This will be an enormous undertaking but Megan Garratt-Reed has proven that she has what it takes to build and successfully lead this type of state agency. I am confident that the entire state will benefit from her commitment to the pursuit of evidence-based policies that make health care work for more Mainers.

Jackson secures commitment for improved cell service in Eagle Lake

For years, I’ve been working to improve cell service in the Valley so folks can connect with loved ones, work remotely, conduct business and most importantly, call for help when they need it most. I’m thrilled we were able to strike a deal to construct a new cell phone tower for the residents and first responders of Eagle Lake. Make no mistake, this is what happens when a community comes together and advocates for what they deserve. Thank you to everyone who worked with me to make this project a reality.
